What is Kintla Yoga?
A heart-centered yoga practice rooted in ancient yogic traditions
and mindfulness meditation techniques
blended together to empower release, reconnection and healing.
Kintla Yoga extends an invitation
for students to truly experience the present moment ~ to reconnect with their own heart, to discover, to learn, to grow, to heal,
and to feel.
Classes are for new and returning students. Class time consists of centering/breathing; description and practice of yoga asanas/poses/krias, pranayama (breath work), mudras (hand gestures), and relaxation/meditation.
Level: All abilities. All you need is a willingness and intention to breathe and listen to your body.
Wear clothing that you are able to move in comfortably and
bring a yoga mat.
Children are the living messages
we send to a time we will not see.
~John W. Whitehead
Parent/Child Yoga is a great
way to spend quality time with
your child. Together, you can enhance
your flexibility, strength, coordination
and body awareness. Classes
include songs, games, mini-
meditations, art, stories and poses.
All You Need Is Love
Benefits of Yoga
Perhaps the first and most profound benefit that most people notice about practicing yoga is stress reduction. The next benefit that physicians support is circulation. Although yoga improves flexibility, most people are not aware that yoga asanas/poses also build strength. The whole idea is a balance of strength and flexibility - - linking mind, body and spirit (or breath). Once the system comes closer to balance, most practitioners notice an increase in vitality and an overall sense of well-being.
"I have never seen anyone truly become
more aware of his or her body without
becoming more compassionate."
~Matthew Sanford, Yoga Teacher, Author,
Speaker and Founder of Mind Body Solutions
Yoga not only helps you get into better physical shape, lose weight, create more flexibility and build strength, it also helps hearts open, boosts confidence, and provides an opportunity for each and every person to grow to their full potential. The more in touch we are with who we are, the greater the possibility for authentic happiness and the soul's fulfillment of its life purpose. Only you know what that is and why you are here. You may not be clear at this moment, but with practice, new understanding will emerge. All you have to do is take the first step. Only you can choose to grow, to be brave enough to feel, to open, to explore and to discover you on a deeper level.
You do not need to be flexible, thin, healthy, happy or motivated
to do yoga, all you need is a desire to take that first step for you,
knowing any benefit you receive will be transmitted to every living thing
you come in contact with. This is how it begins. This is how we heal ourselves and our world. Please join me.
